Suge Knight has stirred controversy once again, calling out major Hip Hop icons like JAY-Z, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg for their silence on the explosive sex trafficking allegations against Diddy.
In a recent interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, the former Death Row Records mogul spoke candidly from prison, accusing high-profile rap figures of being aware of the accusations surrounding Diddy, yet choosing to remain quiet.
“People in the industry knew what was going on,” Knight stated, directly addressing the lack of public comment from some of rap’s biggest names. “I don’t care if it’s T.I., I don’t care if it’s Rick Ross, I don’t care if it’s Jay, I don’t care if it’s Snoop, I don’t care if it’s [The] Game, I don’t care if it’s Dre — nobody is stepping up.”
Knight’s pointed comments were aimed at rappers who have been associated with Diddy both professionally and socially, such as at Roc Nation brunches or his lavish Bad Boy parties. His frustration stems from what he perceives as a lack of accountability among the industry’s elite.
Suge didn’t stop there, casting doubt on the likelihood of Diddy facing severe consequences. According to Knight, Diddy’s deep connections within powerful circles — including ties to the FBI — make this case anything but straightforward.
“He’s no fool,” Knight said of Diddy’s legal troubles. “He’s smart enough to work his angles. He’s had ties to the FBI for most of his career. One of his early business partners, who started the company with drug money, was even freed from prison by President Obama.”
Knight suggested that despite the charges, Diddy isn’t going down without a fight. “Don’t count him out. He’s not gonna just curl up in a corner and die. He’s probably struggling with drug withdrawals in jail, but he’s not done yet.”
With these strong remarks, Suge Knight has reignited a conversation about accountability in the music industry, while casting further shadows on the ongoing legal battle surrounding Diddy. Time will tell how, or if, the Hip Hop community responds.
