Styles P has recently addressed the ongoing conversation surrounding Diddy’s decision to return publishing rights to several Bad Boy artists, shedding light on the fact that The LOX has been in control of their music for quite some time.
Back in early September, TMZ reported that the influential New York mogul had made the noteworthy move of granting publishing rights back to artists like Ma$e, The LOX, and the estate of The Notorious B.I.G., among others. While this report was indeed accurate, it somewhat implied that it happened all at once in a swift action.
On Monday, September 11th, Styles P stepped in to provide some clarity regarding the timeline of Diddy’s generous gesture. He took to social media to address the issue directly, stating, “TO ALL MEDIA OUTLETS AND JOURNALISTS. The LOX has had their publishing back since June of 2021. Should have asked us how we felt about it at the time!”
In light of this revelation, it becomes clear that The LOX has been independently managing their music rights for a significant period before the recent media coverage.
