At 75, legendary music icon Stevie Wonder shows no signs of slowing down. Fresh off a wildly successful UK tour that earned rave reviews for its energy and joy, the Motown pioneer proves that age is just a number when passion leads the way.
While many of his musical peers like Billy Joel and The Eagles are scaling back their careers, Wonder made it clear in a recent interview that retirement isn’t even on his radar.
“As long as I can breathe and my heart is still beating, I know I’ve still got something to share,” Wonder shared on the BBC’s Sidetracked podcast. “Why stop the flow of a gift that continues to move through me?”
With a career that spans more than six decades and hits that shaped generations, the “Superstition” singer says creativity never expires.
“Artists never stop creating. If you can still dream, you can still inspire.”
Wonder also revealed he’s still hard at work on his long-anticipated album, Through The Eyes of Wonder, a deeply personal project that’s been in the works since 2008. The album, said to offer a powerful perspective on life through his experience as a blind artist, would be his first studio release since 2005’s A Time To Love.
From a child prodigy at 11 to a global icon at 75, Stevie Wonder continues to write his legacy… one soulful note at a time.
