In the latest development of the long-running divorce battle between Stevie J and Faith Evans, the ex-Love & Hip Hop star has been ordered by the court to return his estranged wife’s vehicle. Faith Evans filed an emergency motion to have her 2023 Mercedes Sprinter Van returned, claiming that Stevie had stolen it to drive to Coachella.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Evans purchased the vehicle with her own money and reported it stolen on April 12 after Stevie allegedly took the keys and drove away with it. Despite her requests for him to return the car, he declined, prompting Evans to file a police report and an emergency motion.
The court granted the motion and ordered Stevie J to immediately return the vehicle. Evans also requested that the court intervene to prevent Stevie from driving any of her other vehicles, including a 2020 Mercedes G Wagon and Chrysler Pacifica, as his license is currently suspended.
In her motion, Evans emphasized that Stevie is not authorized to drive any of her vehicles as he is not covered by the insurance policy. She paid $164,000 for the van without financing, and the court has ordered Stevie to return it to her custody.
This is just the latest chapter in the messy divorce between the Love & Hip Hop pair, with Stevie forced to hire a new lawyer in 2022 after his former divorce attorney dropped him due to an “irremediable breakdown.”
Stevie had previously apologized to Evans in an Instagram post on Mother’s Day last year, promising to listen to her feelings and be more delicate with her heart. However, the pair’s relationship has since deteriorated, and their divorce battle is showing no signs of resolution.
