In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Soulja Boy addressed his previous feud with Bow Wow, revealing that it all stemmed from their shared love for luxury vehicles, particularly Lamborghinis.
Acknowledging their youth at the time, Soulja Boy expressed amusement when reflecting on the situation, stating, “Shout out to Bow Wow though, we were young. Looking back, I find it hilarious. We were beefing over Lamborghinis, man. Can you believe it? Arguing about whose Lamborghini was faster or newer. It’s just ridiculous.”
However, Soulja Boy emphasized that things have changed since then, highlighting their current friendship. He shared that they now frequently communicate, even collaborating on a joint project called “Ignorant Shit.” Additionally, they discuss potential future endeavors, such as performing together. Soulja Boy believes they have both matured, especially now that they have children, and they are operating on a whole different level.
The feud appeared to reignite in 2021 when Soulja Boy and Bow Wow were announced as opponents on the Verzuz stage. Social media exchanges between them initially led fans to believe there was genuine animosity, but Bow Wow quickly clarified that it was all in good fun, reiterating their strong bond.
Bow Wow took to Twitter, writing, “Please get this clear. Soulja is my brother for life. We will never have a real beef. This is all about having fun and entertaining our fans. I know some of you may worry, but that’s just how we roll. You have nothing to be concerned about.”
During this Verzuz showdown, Soulja Boy took the wager to another level by betting his own Lamborghini. In a video posted on Twitter, he boldly stated, “If you win the Verzuz, I’ll give you the pink slip to my Lambo. I’m willing to bet $100,000 that you don’t even own a Lamborghini anymore. I still have mine, and I purchased it outright.”
