Snoop Dogg is gearing up to drop his new album, Missionary, with none other than Dr. Dre at the production helm. The highly anticipated project, which has fans buzzing, is set for release on December 13, as Snoop shared in a humorous trailer that’s already turning heads on social media.
In a cheeky post on X, Snoop released a teaser video that takes a humorous twist on “missionary work.” The clip shows two nerdy-looking young men, dressed like missionaries, arriving at a house expecting to spread a spiritual message… only to be greeted by a woman in revealing lingerie who thought they were there for a very different kind of “missionary” visit. This lighthearted moment has only added to the album’s anticipation.
At Bloomberg’s Screentime conference in Los Angeles earlier this month, Snoop Dogg shared more details, hinting at the star-studded lineup featured on Missionary.
“This album has all the big names. It’s setting me up for one last major stadium tour, something I’ve wanted for a long time,” Snoop said, sharing that the LP will include collaborations with industry icons like Sting and rising star Jelly Roll.
Reflecting on his creative process for Missionary, Snoop expressed a deep respect for Dr. Dre’s guidance, likening the experience to his early days in the industry.
“I’m going back to being Snoop Doggy Dogg—the learner, the kid in the passenger seat,” Snoop explained. “I want Dre to take full control, to shape this album like he did back in the day. He took me from a rock and made me a diamond, and I’m letting him polish me up once more.”
Fans are counting down the days until December 13, eagerly awaiting the return of this dynamic duo as they set out to make Missionary another hip-hop classic.
