Snoop Dogg has broken his silence after sparking controversy by performing at an event celebrating Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Despite heavy criticism from fans and followers, the rap legend has made it clear he stands firm in his decision.
The performance took place at the Crypto Ball, one of several inauguration events in Washington, D.C., earlier this month. Snoop, who has been a vocal critic of Trump in the past, shared the stage with Rick Ross and Soulja Boy during the celebration, a move that shocked many of his supporters.
Facing backlash on social media, Snoop addressed his critics head-on in an Instagram video posted Sunday (January 26). “Y’all can’t hate enough to stop me because I love too much,” he said. “Get your life right and stop worrying about mine. I’m cool, I’m together. Still a Black man. Still a hundred percent Black. I ain’t going nowhere, cuh! Get the Crypto on Crip, though.”
Snoop also directed his comments toward his Black critics, calling for unity instead of division. “We gotta learn to lift each other up instead of tearing each other down,” he said. “That’s what we’re great at as Black people… tearing each other down. You can be up one minute, and they’ll try to pull you down the next.
“But I’m a strong Black man, cut from a different cloth. You can’t tear me down. I’m one of God’s children, and I’m carrying the load.”
Snoop’s defiant response has sparked further conversations online, with fans and critics debating his stance and actions. Love him or hate him, one thing is clear: Snoop Dogg isn’t backing down.
