Serena Williams made a bold statement at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, stepping into the spotlight during Kendrick Lamar’s electrifying performance of his viral hit “Not Like Us.”
The tennis legend paid homage to her Compton roots by hitting the Crip Walk while rocking an all-blue fit… Chuck Taylors a tennis skirt, and a matching jacket. Her moves instantly caught fans’ attention, as she grooved to the beat of Lamar’s Drake diss track, which took over the summer of 2024.
Williams has never been shy about her love for the song. Back in July, she dubbed “Not Like Us” the anthem of the summer, saying:
“I love that song. It’s like the hit of the summer. When they play that jam, I’m jamming. That jam is jamming.”
She also admitted that Crip Walking is still second nature to her. “I do it all the time,” she revealed, especially when “Not Like Us” comes on.
