Three decades ago, the world was left heartbroken when Tejano music icon Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was gunned down in a shocking betrayal. Now, the woman responsible for her death, Yolanda Saldívar, is seeking parole… potentially walking free after serving nearly 30 years behind bars.
Nearly three decades after the shocking murder of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, Yolanda Saldívar is up for parole and could be released on March 30, 2025.
In March 1995, Saldívar, the former president of Selena’s fan club, shot the Tejano superstar in the back at a Corpus Christi motel during a dispute over stolen money. Selena managed to name her killer before collapsing, but despite her conviction, Saldívar insists the shooting was accidental.
With her parole hearing approaching, fans and Selena’s family strongly oppose her release, believing justice must be upheld. Will Saldívar walk free, or will she remain behind bars?
