A second teenager has died days after a tragic sledding accident in Texas that left two best friends fighting for their lives.
Grace Brito, 16, passed away after being placed on life support following the crash in Frisco, Texas. The accident had already claimed the life of Elizabeth Angle, 16, who died earlier from her injuries.
Authorities say the girls were riding on a sled that was being pulled through the snow by a 16-year-old driver in a Jeep Wrangler when the sled struck a curb and crashed into a tree. Both teens suffered critical injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
Family members say Grace and Elizabeth were inseparable best friends, making the loss even more devastating to their loved ones and community.
The incident has renewed concerns about the dangers of towing sleds with vehicles during winter weather.
