Meet Truffles, Danielle Crull’s rescued kitten that helps young children feel better about wearing their glasses. Danielle runs her own practice, ‘A Child’s Eye,’ in Mechanicsburg, where her primary focus is infants, toddlers, and children.
Crull said that many of the children she see’s have severe eye problems. Some of them require multiple surgeries and treatment. So you can imagine how frightened an infant, toddler, or younger kid would be.

But when they see Truffles sporting her stylish glasses, their mood changes instantly. “She is literally magical with little kids,” Crull said. ‘It takes me at least half an hour to try and get to know them, so they realize I’m not something to be afraid of, and Truffles will come strutting out from the back as if she knows exactly when I need her help.”
“The story that happens over and over is a little one is crying, and she comes out, and I put glasses on her, and they immediately stop crying and laugh and put their own glasses on,” Crull said. Truffles usually fall asleep with her glasses on, not wanting to take them off.
