Authorities in San Antonio say a body believed to be that of Camila Mendoza Olmos, 19, has been discovered following a week-long search.
According to law enforcement sources, the remains were located in tall grass near a landscaping business behind the Olmos family home, in an area known as Burnin’ Bush. A 9mm Luger handgun was also found close to the body.
The sheriff stated that investigators believe the young woman may have died by suicide, citing signs of emotional distress and reported indications of suicidal thoughts. Officials emphasized that the case remains under investigation.
Camila’s brother previously reported that a firearm matching the same type found at the scene had gone missing from their home around the time she disappeared.
While DNA testing has not yet officially confirmed the identity, a sheriff’s source said the physical description of the remains closely matches that of the missing teen.
Authorities are continuing to process the scene and await final confirmation.
