Rick Ross isn’t done feuding with 50 Cent, and his latest move could shake up the entertainment world. The Maybach Music Group boss has announced his plans to produce a high-budget film about the Black Mafia Family, taking direct shots at 50’s STARZ series BMF in the process.
50 Cent, who serves as an executive producer of BMF, has recently had a public falling out with the crime organization’s co-founder, Big Meech, and his son, Lil Meech… the star of the show. Their ongoing relationship with Rick Ross has only added fuel to the fire.
In an Instagram Story posted on Thursday (Feb. 6), Ross didn’t hold back, slamming BMF as a “lackluster” production while teasing his ambitious plans for a superior, big-screen adaptation.
“I wanna do a BMF film because you’ve been entertained by a lackluster, small-budget series. Now it’s time to do a big-budget film,” Ross declared confidently.
Rozay even started scouting Hollywood heavyweights to direct his potential blockbuster, throwing out names like F. Gary Gray, Antoine Fuqua, and Quentin Tarantino.
“This is gonna be big, I can feel it,” Ross added, making it clear that he’s ready to go head-to-head with 50 Cent in both the rap game and the film industry.
With tensions running high and both moguls known for their relentless competitiveness, it remains to be seen if Rick Ross can turn his vision into reality… or if 50 Cent will fire back with a counter move of his own.
