The unveiling of the diss track happened during DJ Akademiks’ podcast on Saturday (April 13), where Rick Ross hinted at its release on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) before dropping it.
In his tweet, Rick Ross wrote, “It’s the 1st qtr. This is going to be a good game. Grab a seat,” signaling anticipation for the track’s impact.
The diss track takes a direct shot at Drake, alleging cosmetic alterations to his appearance to appear less ethnically Black. In one line, Ross raps: “You ain’t never want to be a n***a anyway, n***a/ That’s why you had a operation to make your nose smaller than your father nose, n***a.”
Furthermore, Ross elaborates on the rift between the two artists, highlighting Drake’s actions that led to their fallout. He references Drake’s legal actions against French Montana and alleges interference with his own projects. The lyrics delve into their past collaborations and Drake’s purported shift in behavior.
