Rick Ross’ much-anticipated car show featuring Lil Wayne is under threat from the artist’s own neighbors. According to WSB-TV, some of Ross’ neighbors have filed a petition with the Fayette County Board of Commissioners in Georgia to cancel the show. Last year’s event brought the area to a standstill, causing major traffic disruption, and the neighbors claim that they feel locked out of their own neighborhood.
The second annual “Rick Ross Promise Land Car & Bike Show” is scheduled for June 3rd at Ross’ Promise Land residence in Fayetteville, Georgia. Ross has been eagerly promoting the show on his Instagram story, showcasing an impressive iced-out key-shaped necklace that he plans to award to the winner. The necklace is reportedly made of 14-karat gold and features all VS1 emerald-cut diamonds.
While Ross seems excited to have Lil Wayne perform, some neighbors are threatening to leave the area altogether to avoid the large influx of people that the event is expected to bring. One homeowner told the publication that it took them 40 minutes to get out of their subdivision during last year’s event.
If you’re planning on attending the car show, be sure to keep an eye out for any updates on the potential cancellation. As of now, it’s unclear whether or not the petition will have any effect on the show’s scheduled date.
