Former NFL star Richard Sherman finds himself in legal trouble once again, as he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
The incident occurred just before 2 AM PT when police officers pulled him over for allegedly driving at 79 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. Upon stopping Sherman, officers conducted several field sobriety tests, during which Sherman reportedly confessed to having consumed two margaritas earlier in the evening. However, he purportedly declined to take a breathalyzer test.
Sherman’s legal situation is not new, as he has encountered previous legal issues. Currently, he remains on monitored supervision as part of a plea deal.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning to address the conditions of his release, with bail yet to be determined. Sherman was booked into King County Jail at 7:51 AM PT on Saturday for the DUI offense.
Authorities from the Washington State Patrol stated that the incident is under investigation, though no additional details were provided regarding the arrest. This development adds to Sherman’s history of legal entanglements, marking another chapter in his tumultuous journey.
