Meet Dillon, one of Britain’s unluckiest rescue dogs who is still searching for a good home. Dillon is a sweet dog who was found lying beside his dead owner, who had passed away, still protecting him.
Since being rescued, Dillion has patiently waited for someone with a good heart and loves dogs to take him in. Unfortunately, it has been two years, and Dillon still doesn’t have a home or a family to play with.
Dillion is a 9-year-old black lurcher canine who loves walks and cuddling. Dillion would love for someone to visit him and rescue him from the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) shelter in Cornwall, England.
A supporter relations officer for NAWT, Amy Hall, told SWNS that Dillion is an affectionate and loving pet. Everyone there wants to see Dillion find that loving family to take him in.
“He was found lying with his owner who had passed away and was obviously protecting him right up until he couldn’t anymore, which was very sad,” Hall said. ” He came to us about two years ago from that situation, which is what Dillon wanted and needed, but we’ve been trying to find the right one for him, the right home and family.”
“The thing with his age is he attracts people looking for more of a dog that sits with you, whereas Dillon in his heart is still a bit of a puppy,” said Hall. “He will settle down with you and relax too, but he likes to go out in the fields and have a nice walk, after which he likes to just chill.”
Despite the minor placement issue, Hall said, “he’s a great dog, but he needs the right person. We’ve had a few people interested, but for some reason or another, they’ve not quite worked out.”
