Reggie Bush, the former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner, recently shared a wild story about how he almost made it to one of Diddy’s iconic parties—but was stopped by an unexpected twist of fate.
During an interview with Robert Griffin III, Bush revealed that he was invited to a massive late-night bash at Diddy’s famous Star Island mansion but never made it past the front lawn.
According to Bush, the party invite came in the early hours of the morning—around 3 or 4 a.m.—and he was ready to roll with a group of friends and a Red Bull rep, as he was sponsored by the energy drink at the time. However, as the crew waited outside the mansion, things took a turn for the worse.
The Red Bull rep, apparently too deep in the party spirit, ended up vomiting right in front of Diddy’s security team. Bush described the embarrassing moment as his plus-one “blowing chunks” on the lawn, which led to the entire group being denied entry.
Despite the cringe-worthy situation, Bush said he believes it was a sign that he wasn’t meant to attend that particular party.
While he didn’t make it inside, Bush was quick to clarify that he doesn’t believe anything illegal was going on inside Diddy’s infamous bash. However, the embarrassing incident did leave him worried about how the scene might have affected his reputation among those who witnessed it.
Despite the missed opportunity, Bush looks back on the experience with humor, acknowledging that it might have been for the best.
