Jose “El Taiger” Carbajal, the renowned reggaeton artist, is in critical condition after being discovered with a gunshot wound to the head in Miami. The 37-year-old was found in the back of a Mercedes-Benz in the Allapattah neighborhood, sparking a major investigation into the shocking attack.
Miami Police Chief Manuel A. Morales provided an update on Friday, revealing that El Taiger remains in “very critical” condition following surgery.
Authorities are actively probing the crime, with suspicions that the musician was shot elsewhere before being transported and left at the scene, just blocks from Jackson Memorial Health Hospital.
The scene inside the car was grim, with blood found throughout, and police were perplexed by the discovery of two red gas containers in the trunk, adding another layer of mystery to the investigation.
Local reports also indicate that El Taiger had two ongoing criminal cases in Miami-Dade County. Over the summer, he faced charges of strong-arm robbery, battery, and resisting an officer. He had pleaded not guilty to both cases and was out on bail at the time of the shooting.
As the investigation continues, fans and the reggaeton community are hoping for a miracle as El Taiger clings to life.
