The incident has prompted an internal investigation as the video violated university branding and licensing agreements. Richey, wearing an orange polo shirt and a team helmet in the video, did not explicitly mention FAMU, but the administration is seeking to distance themselves from the association.
Coach Simmons addressed the situation, stating that wearing the Orange and Green is a privilege, and the football program needs to uphold the standards set before them. He expressed confidence that the team will learn from this incident and work diligently to become better versions of themselves, continuing to make Rattler Nation proud.
