On Monday, Logic released an alternative rock cover of Ice Cube’s 1992 hit “It Was A Good Day,” which received mixed responses from fans.
Social media was abuzz with reactions to the Maryland-born artist, whose real name is Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, and his rendition of the song from The Predator.
In a video clip of the performance, Logic is seen playing with two guitarists as the F. Gary Gray-directed music video plays behind them.
“It’s pretty authentic,” the 33-year-old rapper says at the end of the cover.”
One person commented, “He makes me dislike him more and more. No one asked for this!!!” Another person wrote, “come on, my guy, you gotta agree this is cringy.”
