On May 12, Rakim took to Instagram to announce the unfortunate rescheduling of his planned European concerts scheduled for June 2023. He cited numerous scheduling conflicts arising from his involvement in significant events and awards commemorating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop.
The overwhelming response to Rakim’s announcement on social media was swift and intense, with fans expressing their disappointment and frustration. Many criticized him for moving the shows around and perceived it as disrespectful to his European fanbase.
