A decorated Marine and Purple Heart recipient, Nigel Edge, 40, has been charged with murder after police say he opened fire from a boat at the American Fish Company bar in Southport, North Carolina.
Three people were killed and five others wounded in what police called a “highly premeditated attack.” Edge was arrested 30 minutes later by the Coast Guard and has confessed, officials said.
He is being held without bond, with a probable cause hearing set for October 13
