Priscilla Rainey, a former participant on rapper Game’s reality show “She Got Game,” is actively seeking to recover a $7.1 million judgment against the artist. Legal complications arose in 2015 when Rainey accused Game of inappropriate conduct during a show recording. Although criminal charges were not filed, Rainey initiated a lawsuit against the rapper.
Initially, Game was found liable for $1.3 million in damages. However, due to his disrespect towards the court, the punitive damages were multiplied by six, resulting in the final judgment amount of $7.1 million.
Game’s failed attempt to appeal the judgment has left Rainey with the freedom to enforce it. Presently, Rainey has turned her focus towards Game’s cryptocurrency holdings. As of June 20, 2023, the judgment, including interest, remains largely unpaid, with Rainey having recovered only approximately $402,365.20 from Taylor’s assets, which represents around 5.65% of the total judgment’s principal. Through her post-judgment investigation, Rainey has discovered that Game holds funds with the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
Game’s Ongoing Crypto Ventures: Despite the legal proceedings, Game has remained active in the cryptocurrency domain and has displayed a particular interest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a relatively new form of digital asset. In October 2021, he launched his inaugural NFT collection called “Genesis,” in partnership with OneOf, an eco-friendly marketplace designed for the music industry. Priced at $25, the collection offered fans two previously unreleased tracks. Following the success of the “Genesis” collection, Game introduced a second series titled “Elevate the Game,” which granted fans access to two Gold NFT cards and an opportunity to acquire a platinum NFT card for $99. Soon after, he released the “Master The Game” pack, valued at $299.
Rainey’s Quest for Repayment: Given the success of Game’s recent business ventures, Rainey suspects that he may be concealing assets, making it extremely challenging to satisfy the judgment. Rainey has continued to pursue assertive legal actions to collect the outstanding amount. In April 2017, a judge granted her control over a record label called L.A. Prolific, which Game had established. Additionally, Rainey secured all proceeds from his album, “Born 2 Rap.” To prevent Game from transferring further assets to his manager, Cash “Wack 100” Jones, Rainey sought a restraining order against Jones.
