Postal workers are being investigated over claims they ate weed brownies from an unclaimed parcel and had to be collected from work because they were too high, according to The Guardian.
A video posted to Instagram claimed to show postal workers extremely high and unable to work has been deleted. Royal Mail postal staff in South London is under investigation, claiming that some postal workers ate an unclaimed package containing hash brownies.
“Today, almost all the posties in Clapham accidentally ate hash brownies, and I had to pick them up one by one cause they were so high,” the Instagram user wrote in their story.
According to the outlet, the unclaimed package had “Edibles by Pablo Chocobar” written on it. The Instagram Videos showed postal workers struggling to walk, “I think it’s weed,” a male colleague said in the video, according to The Guardian.
“We opened them, and they got given out,” the caption said. Royal Mail spokesperson told Insider that it’s taking the matter “very seriously” and has started investigating the incident.
“We are also reminding all staff at the delivery office of the correct procedures for dealing with items with no address for delivery or return,” the spokesperson said.
