Two Pennsylvania adults are facing multiple felony charges after authorities say six children, ranging in age from 4 to 11, were subjected to ongoing abuse inside their home.
According to investigators, the children reported being struck with baseball bats, hockey sticks, and other objects.
In one incident, an 11-year-old allegedly fled the home in August 2025 after being chased with a bat. She later told authorities she had also been assaulted and choked earlier in the year.
Police say the residence was found in extreme disarray, with animal waste throughout the home and several animals confined in dirty cages, pointing to possible animal neglect alongside the child abuse allegations.
Officials confirmed they had received reports of potential abuse dating back to 2019. Ashley Dishart-Christensen, 35, has since been released after posting $150,000 bail, while Robert Christensen Jr., 39, remains held at Lancaster County Prison on $425,000 bail as the investigation continues.
