An Oklahoma City woman is sharing her story after surviving a sudden and terrifying knife attack while sitting in her car at a Sonic Drive-In.
Linda Hollrah says she was waiting for her order when a man approached her vehicle without warning. She told authorities the attacker never spoke, never hesitated, and immediately began stabbing her through the car window.
Hollrah suffered multiple stab wounds, including injuries to her kneecap, forearm, thigh, and upper abdomen. Doctors later confirmed one of the blows struck her liver, causing internal bleeding that required emergency surgery.
“He walked right up to my car, didn’t say anything, and just started attacking me,” Hollrah said. “He kept stabbing and stabbing.”
Despite the violent nature of the assault, investigators say no suspect has been arrested. Police also confirmed that Sonic employees told officers the location’s surveillance cameras were not functioning at the time of the attack.
The case has raised serious concerns about customer safety and security at drive-in restaurants, especially late at night. Hollrah says she hopes speaking publicly will help bring attention to the case and prevent similar attacks from happening to others.
The investigation remains ongoing.
