Columbus police are actively searching for a suspect after a dentist and his wife were discovered shot to death inside their Ohio residence, authorities confirmed.
Officers were dispatched to the home of Spencer Tepe, 37, and Monique Tepe, 39, after concerns for their well-being prompted a welfare check. Upon arrival, police located both victims inside the house with fatal gunshot wounds.
Investigators said Spencer Tepe suffered multiple gunshot injuries, while Monique Tepe was struck at least once in the chest. Despite the violent scene, officials reported no signs of forced entry, and no firearms were found inside the home.
Two young children were also inside the residence at the time and were found safe and unharmed, police said.
Authorities have stated that the deaths are not currently believed to be a murder-suicide, and the investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify who may be responsible.
Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact Columbus Police.
