So, have you been waiting to see Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated movie ‘Nope’? Unfortunately, it looks like some of the critics have already voiced their opinion on the Sci-fi movie.
Jordan Peele is no stranger to making great weird suspenseful movies. Peele’s Oscar-winning “Get Out” and “Us” is one reason moviegoers are super excited about seeing “Nope.” “Nope” is an alien-invasion western sci-fi where residents of a lonely gulch in inland California bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.
Critics are already weighing in on the highly anticipated movie, and lets just say some of them aren’t to happy.
One person commented on The Washington Post article about the movie, saying “Did we see the same movie or did you get paid by the studio??? This movie was dreck and a definite “NOPE” from every critic that attended the NYC screening with me. I almost fell asleep as nothing happened for the first hour and when it did, it was a silly jump scare. There was a bloody and violent subplot with Gordy that had ZERO to do with the alien invasion. And the basic premise was dumb. If aliens were invading and eating people would anyone really care about getting the “impossible (aka perfect) shot” of them? And why did the alien ship turn into a big Christo exhibition and look like a kite?? YES, you WILL find yourself saying “Nope”! NOPE to this movie and NOPE to this reviewer. I will never be able to trust any review from you in the future, Michael.”
Wow, talk about passion. Makes you wonder… are they right or wrong. Other comments on The Washington Post articles read…
“After reading this review, I still have no real interest in watching it, but having said that, the reviews collected by Rottentomatoes mostly seem to disagree with you.”
“Thank you for suggesting Nope. I have been waiting to see this movie and am glad its finally here. Jordan Peele’s movies are always with some twists which make them even more edgier while really making you think. I have watched Get Out and Us a few times each, and always see something i didn’t catch before. Love them!”
Are you going to see it? Have you seen it? If so, let us know in the comments what you thought about the movie.
