NLE Choppa isn’t holding back after Complex released their latest list of the “Top 20 Best Rappers in Their 20s”—and he didn’t make the cut. The Memphis rapper took to social media on Thursday (September 12) to express his frustration with the snub, delivering an explosive six-minute rant aimed at the publication.
In his passionate response, NLE Choppa didn’t mince words, saying, “Whoever made that Complex list, your ass needs to go do rock and roll or some other shit.”
He emphasized that he has been trying to stay positive, but this omission was a step too far. “Y’all got me fucked up. Y’all keep playing with me.”
Despite his anger, the “Slut Me Out” rapper clarified that he wasn’t discrediting anyone who did make the list. Notable names like Lil Uzi Vert, GloRilla, Cash Cobain, and Playboi Carti topped the rankings, but NLE Choppa felt his contributions were being overlooked.
He hinted that once his upcoming project, SLUT SZN, drops later this month, fans will see a different side of him.
“October, I’m gonna make y’all muthafuckas feel me,” he said confidently. “After September, I’m back on your ass. Y’all got me messed up for real.”
NLE Choppa went on to defend his position as a top rapper in his age group, pointing to his achievements at just 21 years old. “Eighteen platinum plaques, six or seven gold… Go look at the certifications. Let me know who’s beating me,” he stated.
He also mentioned his success on tour, with sold-out shows across the globe in America, Europe, Australia, and Canada.
Ending his rant, Choppa challenged the list creators to expand their rankings: “You shoulda did 21 muthafuckas instead of 20 if you wanted to leave me off that list.”
Fans are now eagerly awaiting SLUT SZN, as NLE Choppa gears up to prove why he belongs on any “Best Rappers” list.
