During her performance at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Saturday (April 20), Nicki Minaj reacted swiftly when an object nearly struck her on stage.
While entertaining the crowd with her hit track “Starships,” the Young Money rapper found herself in a tense moment as an unidentified object was thrown in her direction, prompting her to bat it away in self-defense.
In a video capturing the incident, Nicki can be seen retrieving the object, and, visibly irritated, she launches it back towards the direction it came from before resuming her performance, shooting a stern glance at the audience.
Despite the unsettling occurrence, Nicki Minaj took to social media after the concert to express her appreciation for the energetic audience in Detroit, posting on X, ” #GagCityDetroit what was your fave part of the show last night? Your energy was so beautiful. Loud, Happy, Fly, Pretty, SEXY, etc. just GREAT energy that I’ll never forget.”
The event also featured notable highlights, including surprise appearances from Detroit native Big Sean, adding to the excitement of the evening.
