In their highly anticipated collaboration for the Barbie soundtrack, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice teamed up to create a vibrant music video titled “Barbie World.”
The visually stunning video showcases the duo immersed in a pink-themed adventure, cruising through the town while effortlessly delivering captivating verses that draw parallels between themselves and the iconic Barbie doll.
With lyrics like “I’m bad like the Barbie, a doll who knows how to party,” the talented artists celebrate their individuality and confidently embrace their unique personas. Their dynamic chemistry shines through as they effortlessly trade bars, effortlessly demonstrating their skill and style.
“Barbie World” features a clever sample from Aqua’s 1997 hit “Barbie Girl,” adding a nostalgic touch to the track. Fans have eagerly awaited this release since it was first teased at the conclusion of the original Barbie trailer.
However, leading up to the release of the “Barbie World” remix, there was a minor controversy involving Compton rapper Jason Martin, formerly known as Problem. He took to social media to voice his claim that Nicki Minaj had omitted his writing credit on the track. Martin alleged that he had contributed to the song when it originally belonged to Saweetie but was subsequently left uncredited.
