In a recent statement, Nicki Minaj expressed her concerns about safety in the music industry and on social media platforms. While discussing these issues, she also made reference to a situation involving Cardi B and her husband, Kenneth Petty.
Petty, who has a prior conviction, recently faced legal repercussions and was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest. This sentence came after he made threats toward Offset, Cardi B’s husband, during an Instagram Live session.
Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to share her thoughts, suggesting that there are individuals within the music industry who may be hindering the resolution of certain incidents, including “swatting” attempts on her home in Hidden Hills, California.
Despite some media coverage of these incidents, she expressed frustration that the responsible party has not been identified or apprehended.
She also mentioned that someone had made false claims to Child Protective Services (CPS) regarding her situation. Nicki speculated that individuals in influential positions within the music industry might be attempting to thwart her success but acknowledged her belief in her own resilience, attributing it to a divine blessing in her life.
Nicki Minaj concluded her Instagram post by promoting her upcoming Queen Radio broadcast and her latest album, #PinkFriday2, which she excitedly anticipated sharing with her fans.
Later that day, Nicki Minaj took to her Instagram Stories to seemingly address the issue further. She alluded to the possibility that Cardi B might have been involved in the situation and suggested that she might reveal information about someone who could potentially be “swatted.”
In her Instagram Stories, Nicki Minaj also made a statement about the need for responsible behavior on social media, cautioning against frivolous calls to law enforcement.
She hinted that she might disclose information about an individual who would not be subjected to a swatting incident, seemingly implying that they are not deserving of such treatment.
