Chris Brown, one of the most controversial figures in music, will be the focus of a hard-hitting new documentary next month that delves into allegations of violence that have followed him throughout his career.
Titled Chris Brown: A History of Violence, the documentary will premiere on Investigation Discovery (ID) on October 27, as part of the network’s annual No Excuse for Abuse campaign.
Announced by The Hollywood Reporter on Monday (September 30), the film promises to explore the disturbing accusations against the Grammy-winning artist.
While many are familiar with the infamous 2009 incident involving Rihanna, the documentary will shed light on additional claims, including alleged sexual assault cases.
One woman, featured in the trailer, states, “Chris Brown’s an amazing and talented musician, but let’s call a thing a thing. He’s an abuser of women. Consistently, unapologetically.”
The documentary will reportedly feature the story of another alleged victim who has come forward to share her experience. According to the film’s producers, the project will also include expert commentary and cultural reflections, offering a deeper understanding of the psychological toll of abuse on its survivors.
