Nas just secured a massive win in New York’s casino race. His $5 billion Queens casino resort project, backed by Resorts World, was approved only a week after Jay-Z’s Times Square proposal was denied.
The Queens plan faced no public opposition and builds on Resorts World’s already successful racino, giving it strong momentum. By contrast, Jay-Z’s Caesars-backed bid collapsed after fierce resistance from Broadway leaders.
