A chilling mystery in South Wales has now escalated into a full-blown murder investigation after 37-year-old Paria Veisi disappeared without a trace last weekend. Authorities have confirmed that two people closely linked to the missing woman are now in custody on suspicion of murder.
Paria was last seen around 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, after leaving her job in the Canton area of Cardiff. Her sudden disappearance sparked immediate concern from friends and family, who say it’s completely out of character for her to fall off the radar.
South Wales Police officially announced the shift to a murder investigation, citing a lack of evidence that Paria is still alive. “We currently have no proof that Paria is alive,” stated Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, the lead officer on the case. “Her loved ones are deeply worried, and we are providing them with constant updates during this difficult time.”
A 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman… both known to Paria… have been arrested and are being held in custody. Investigators say they are not seeking any additional suspects at this time.
Paria is described as having long, curly black hair and was last seen wearing a black zip-up gym jacket over a red top, with black trousers and trainers. She was also driving a black Mercedes GLC 200, which has since been recovered on Dorchester Avenue in the Penylan area of Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Police are urgently tracing her movements after she left work on April 12. DCI Powell confirmed that officers are combing through CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door inquiries in the area. “We urge anyone who may have seen something… even if it seems minor… to come forward and speak with us,” he added.
As the community reels from the shocking turn of events, law enforcement continues to follow every lead to uncover the truth behind Paria Veisi’s disappearance.
