After dominating MTV’s lineup for more than a decade, the network has officially pulled the plug on its hit clip-show “Ridiculousness.”
Sources close to the production confirmed that MTV executives informed the cast and crew this week that the current season will be the final one… marking the end of an era for one of MTV’s longest-running franchises.
The decision reportedly came directly from top executives at the network, catching much of the team by surprise. Production insiders say the show had been on hiatus since July and was originally scheduled to return in January.
However, instead of launching new episodes, MTV will air the remaining pre-recorded content through 2026 before officially wrapping the series for good.
Hosted by Rob Dyrdek, “Ridiculousness” became a cultural staple since its debut in 2011, featuring viral internet clips paired with comedy commentary.
Despite its massive episode count and consistent ratings, MTV appears ready to shift focus toward new programming as it closes the curtain on a 14-year run that defined its modern identity.
