Boxing legend Mike Tyson has made a full recovery after a medical scare during a flight over the weekend, confirming he is now “100%” healthy.
The 57-year-old Tyson needed medical assistance while traveling on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Saturday. However, he reassured his fans via a post on his X page on Tuesday morning that he is now in perfect health.
Mike Tyson informed his followers that he has regained full strength and remains committed to his scheduled fight against Jake Paul in July.
“Now feeling 100%,” he wrote, “even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.”
According to Tyson’s representatives, the in-flight emergency was caused by an ulcer flare-up that occurred just before the plane landed.
They reported that Tyson experienced nausea and dizziness but expressed gratitude for the quick response from the medical team on board.
With his health restored, Tyson is resuming his training regimen in preparation for the highly anticipated match against Paul, set to take place in Arlington, Texas, on July 20.
