Authorities in Flint Township say two special-needs children were discovered living alone for several days inside a severely neglected home.
According to police, officers responded to a welfare check and found the residence covered in trash, with a faucet left running and water pooling across the floors. Investigators reported feces smeared along the walls at a child’s height and said there was no accessible food, clean clothing, phone, or way for the children to call for help.
Police stated one child was attempting to eat spoiled raw meat, while the other was found curled up on a bedroom floor.
The children’s mother, Krystal Farmer, is facing multiple felony charges, including child abandonment, child abuse, and providing false information to authorities. Officials allege the children were left without supervision or care for several days.
The investigation remains ongoing.
