This beautiful Mexican fireleg or Mexcian rustleg tarantula, known by the scientist name “Brachypelma boehmei,” is commonly found in Mexico. It gets its name from the furry bright red-orange and black color of its body. They are around 5 to 6 inches in size, and they’re known for being very aggressive spiders.
These tarantulas hide in dry scrublands and defend themselves by urticating hair when provoked. They tend to be active after dark but can sometimes show up in morning or evening daylight.
What would be your reaction if you came across one of these during your morning or night strolls. Would you run, or would you take a closer look? Let us know.

I had a Pet Tarantula, For years, she slep on the pillow next to my head @ nite. The Sweetest dang thing, Brazilian Rose. When She had past, a friend of mine had found a Sun-Dial at our local pet store… After trying to handle it a few times with very heavy gloves on. I realized this Critter was never going to be Pet Material. I looked it up, got a few books, then understood these are the worlds most agressive Spiders. Check ’em out and please post what you find. TY…. A Fellow Lover of these Beautiful Creatures!
