Meek Mill’s recent online activity has once again landed him in the spotlight of social media, but this time, it’s not for his music.
The MMG rapper found himself facing a barrage of criticism from fans and followers after he turned to social media to seek business advice.
On Thursday, April 11, the rapper, known for hits like “Dreams and Nightmares,” took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask his followers for recommendations on finding a person in China to assist with sourcing products for his companies in the United States.
His post read, “I need a person in China to source products for my companies anybody online that’s popular for doing that and connecting with businesses in America?”
The response from the online community was swift and unforgiving, focusing largely on Meek’s frequent appearances alongside wealthy individuals such as Robert Kraft and Michael Rubin.
One user sarcastically remarked, “How are you a millionaire with zero connections?” while another pointed out, “I love how you use Twitter like you’re not rich or connected lol.”
Another commenter suggested, “Dude lol. This is a question for your billionaire friends, not the culture.”
It’s evident that Meek Mill’s attempt to seek business advice from his online followers instead of consulting his affluent acquaintances has not been well-received.
The incident serves as a reminder of the scrutiny that public figures face on social media platforms, where every move is subject to intense scrutiny and criticism.
