Meagan Good candidly addressed her relationship with Jonathan Majors during an appearance on TODAY With Hoda & Jenna on Tuesday, July 9.
Despite concerns from her friends due to Majors’ domestic violence case, the actress defended her choice to date him.
“Every friend advised me against it, but at the end of the day, I know I can always look at myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit,” Good explained. “When I trust God and follow my own path, I can say, ‘I’m proud of that.’ Regardless of what happens, I have peace and harmony in my heart. It’s only when I make decisions based on others’ opinions that issues arise.”
Good emphasized that while she values her loved ones’ opinions, ultimately, she must live her own life. “I take everyone’s advice into account, for sure. But at the end of the day, I’m the one who has to live my life. I have to give an account to God for my choices, so I want to be responsible for them and live the life I choose.”
Good and Majors began their relationship after Majors was arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in 2023.
He was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment and was sentenced to probation and a 52-week domestic violence counseling program in April.
Following his conviction, Marvel Studios fired Majors, who had portrayed Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
