The news comes hot on the heels of its successful debut at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, with the acquisition finalized on Wednesday, May 15, according to a report by IndieWire.
While an official premiere date is yet to be announced, audiences can anticipate experiencing the magic of Vandross’ legacy on both CNN Films and OWN in 2025. Following its initial broadcast, the documentary is set to make its way to the Max streaming platform.
