“Never Too Much,” the eagerly awaited Luther Vandross documentary produced by Jamie Foxx, has secured a prestigious broadcasting deal with CNN Films and OWN.
The news comes hot on the heels of its successful debut at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, with the acquisition finalized on Wednesday, May 15, according to a report by IndieWire.
While an official premiere date is yet to be announced, audiences can anticipate experiencing the magic of Vandross’ legacy on both CNN Films and OWN in 2025. Following its initial broadcast, the documentary is set to make its way to the Max streaming platform.
Director Dawn Porter expressed her excitement about the collaboration in a statement, stating, “I’m thrilled to partner again with CNN Films and OWN to bring this film to audiences. Luther’s music is timeless, his legacy is unsurpassed, and we can’t wait for all of his fans new and old to experience his brilliance.”
The production of “Never Too Much” is a joint effort, with Foxx’s Foxhole Productions joining forces with Raindog Films and Trilogy Films to bring Vandross’ story to life.
This highly anticipated project promises to offer an intimate insight into the life and career of the iconic musician, ensuring that his unparalleled talent continues to resonate with audiences for years to come.
