In a jaw-dropping scene straight out of an action movie, a 70-year-old man behind the wheel of a Honda sedan went airborne over six lanes of traffic on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore, Long Island… and walked away with only minor injuries.
The dramatic crash unfolded on Wednesday, September 3, when the driver was heading south on Pine Acres Boulevard. According to officials, the car sped across an embankment before hitting a hill that acted like a ramp, sending the vehicle soaring high above the busy highway.
Miraculously, no other vehicles were struck, and no pedestrians were injured. The driver was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
