Inter Miami has its first MLS Cup… and of course, Lionel Messi delivered it.
The global superstar guided Miami to a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps, securing the franchise’s first championship just 2½ years after his shocking arrival in South Florida.
Messi created the moment of the match in the 72nd minute, stealing the ball and threading a perfect assist to Rodrigo De Paul for the title-clinching goal. Fans erupted as Messi jumped into De Paul’s arms, knowing the trophy was finally theirs.
Miami’s pink-clad crowd turned the stadium into a celebration zone, proving South Florida is officially a soccer city… thanks to Messi.
In stoppage time, Messi added another assist to Tadeo Allende, sealing the 3-1 win and cementing his latest feat in an already unmatched legacy.
Inter Miami are champions. Messi remains the king.
