In the latest episode of A Safe Place Podcast, Lil Yachty sparked a heated discussion with his views on Jay-Z and DaBaby’s performances on Kanye West’s track “Jail.” While Jay-Z was originally featured on the Donda album version, a subsequent release, “Jail Pt 2,” included DaBaby. Lil Yachty and MitchGoneMad engaged in a conversation, expressing their thoughts on the two collaborations. Lil Yachty boldly stated that he believes DaBaby’s verse outperformed legendary HOV on the beat.
Sharing his perspective, Lil Yachty opened up to MitchGoneMad, saying, “Something I’ve wanted to talk about for a long time is the song ‘Jail’ from Kanye West,” Lil Yachty told MitchGoneMad. “In my personal opinion, I think DaBaby had a better verse.”
The 25-year-old artist from the south further emphasized, “I know the conversation of Jay-Z versus DaBaby is insane, but I honestly think his verse was better. I feel that’s gonna get me a lot of heat anyway. Maybe not as heated as the whole Biggie situation I dealt with in 2016.”
