In a recent Instagram Live session on January 1st, Lil Scrappy, a known Atlanta rapper and reality star, expressed his support for Papoose amidst circulating rumors suggesting that Remy Ma may have cheated on her long-time husband with battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain.
Scrappy questioned the apparent double standard in societal support when men are cheated on, emphasizing the need for acknowledgment and empathy towards Papoose’s situation.
Kicking off the new year with a candid Instagram Live session, Lil Scrappy didn’t shy away from addressing the speculations surrounding Remy Ma’s alleged infidelity. He took a firm stand in support of Papoose, shedding light on what he perceived as a double standard in the way society responds to men who face similar challenges.
According to Lil Scrappy, when men find themselves in situations involving infidelity, women from all walks of life rally to express their empathy and condemnation of the perceived wrongdoing.
However, in the case of Papoose, Scrappy highlighted a conspicuous lack of vocal support, with few acknowledging the impact of the alleged cheating on Papoose.
The Atlanta rapper and reality star emphasized that the absence of public sympathy for Papoose revealed an imbalance in societal reactions to infidelity based on gender.
Scrappy challenged the narrative that Black women are the most unprotected, pointing out the need to stand up for both Black men and women during difficult times.
“We ain’t hearing none of that shit because ain’t nobody tryna stand up. And they talking about the Black woman is the most unprotected on the muthaf**kin’ earth when n***as is dying daily… I’m standing up for the Black woman and I’m standing up for the Black man. That’s what I’m doing,” Scrappy passionately asserted during the Instagram Live session.
