Popular rapper Lil Durk has made the difficult decision to withdraw from his headlining slot at Rolling Loud Miami, along with canceling a significant portion of his upcoming tour dates due to health-related concerns.
In an announcement on Tuesday, Durk expressed his regret in having to back out of the highly anticipated Rolling Loud performance scheduled for this weekend. According to Billboard, a total of 24 dates on his Sorry For the Drought Tour have been canceled, leaving only five shows remaining on the current schedule.
The health problems began earlier this month when the OTF frontman was admitted to an Ohio hospital, experiencing severe dehydration issues. Following a week of rehabilitation, he had to forgo an appearance at the 2023 ESPY Awards as well.
In a statement conveyed to Akademiks, Lil Durk shared, “Since I’m still awaiting to get full clearance from my doctors to travel and perform again, I have no other choice but to cancel my headlining Rolling Loud performance. While I’m home resting, I am looking forward to my two homecoming shows on the 11th & 12th in Chicago. For the rest of the country, I’ll be announcing new dates soon. #StillHealing.”
Fans and followers of the talented artist expressed their support and concern on social media, with many sending their well wishes for his swift recovery. As his health remains the top priority, Lil Durk aims to come back stronger and resume touring once his medical team gives him the green light to hit the stage again.
