In an exclusive behind-the-scenes feature with Spotify’s RapCaviar, Lil Baby pulled back the curtain on his upcoming projects during a segment titled “A Day in the Life With Lil Baby.” The 4PF head honcho revealed he’s been cooking up a collaborative tape with Future that’s nearly complete.
“We damn near got the joint tape done,” Baby shared. “Now Young Thug came home, and he ain’t going for that. He like, ‘Sh*t.’ And it actually was Thug’s idea.”
According to Lil Baby, it was Young Thug’s genius that initially sparked the idea for the collaboration with Future. “He was like, ‘Ay, call Pluto. I want y’all to do a tape together,’” Baby explained. “It’s completely Thug’s idea. He damn near named the tape. This before he got out. Now he got out, he like, ‘I’m on the tape.’”
With Thug fresh out and already looking to dive back into music, the potential for this project to grow even bigger is undeniable. Lil Baby hinted that the tape could evolve into something monumental, but the final details are still up in the air.
Beyond the collaboration with Future, Lil Baby revealed just how prolific he and Young Thug have been since the YSL founder’s release. “Thug, he a lab rat. All he do is God d*mn stay in the studio,” Baby said. In just a little over two months, the duo has already recorded 10 songs together, showcasing their undeniable chemistry.
