Lil Baby, the popular Atlanta artist, has unexpectedly canceled several upcoming tour dates for his highly anticipated It’s Only Us Tour. Fans who had eagerly purchased tickets to see him perform in cities such as Phoenix, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Pittsburgh were left disheartened by the sudden news, expressing their frustrations on social media platforms.
As reported by Daily Loud, Ticketmaster released a statement addressing the cancellations: “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.” However, no specific reasons were provided for the cancellations, leaving fans bewildered.
AZ Central also mentioned that Ticketmaster assured fans seeking refunds that they would receive them via their original payment method, typically within 30 days. In some cases, the Event Organizer may offer a credit option, which can be accessed through the Event Details section in the Ticketmaster account.
Disgruntled supporters of Lil Baby took to Twitter to express their disappointment. One fan questioned the rapper’s career progression, stating, “We’re finally coming to the realization that yes, Lil Baby has had a lot of success over the years, but he is a mid rapper. Always been to me.” Another fan shared a similar sentiment, recalling a previous conversation about rappers who could sell out arenas and expressing disbelief in Lil Baby’s ability to do so.
Some fans speculated on the potential reasons behind the cancellations, particularly focusing on the demographics of the affected cities. They questioned the willingness of people in those areas to pay for tickets to a Lil Baby show. However, they acknowledged that the rapper’s performances in larger cities such as LA, Houston, Chicago, and New York were still scheduled, suggesting a stronger fan base in those regions.
A few fans attributed the cancellations to high ticket prices and the perceived underwhelming lineup, consisting of The Kid LAROI, GloRilla, Gloss Up, Rylo Rodriguez, and Hunxho. They criticized the selection and urged Lil Baby to make better choices in the future. Additionally, some fans referenced Lil Baby’s advertising team and his complicated relationship with Gunna over the past few months as potential factors contributing to the tour’s setbacks.
In a lighthearted manner, one fan joked that Lil Baby would soon re-follow Gunna on Instagram, alluding to their previous falling out. Another fan expressed their disappointment in those who had claimed Lil Baby was superior to Gunna, while a third fan simply stated that they would attend the tour if Gunna were added to the lineup.
